Luz Carabaño
After image: live edge.
Indistinction of mimicking and vanishing. Laps for strength. Sloth virtue. Taught. Precise and in an instant. Lock paradigm. Shift, lament. Still, gratitude. Accepting a process of changes. More expanded than usual. Sky like. Slow revealing. Rushing. Prismatic.
Lost image: water soluble subject.
Degradation or dissolving. How I’d open the back of my SLR, the film exposed for sun flares. Or how eyelashes out of focus freckle the edge of sight like droplets. Ya, dreaming is a kind of oculus. Looking makes one part what’s ephemera. How color does not exist in the world. Through the reinterpretation of elements, eyes keep some forms secret. Rinds curl around the feet of tables.
Echo image: will of a wisp.
Lit candle melts, makes neat mess of self. Motes. A fleck of sky in dirt. Anchor’s rush. Blurs. Scramble lumps and sure, cast meaning off the back wall. Luz breaks light.
